April 2016 – Progress Report

Sharon Tseung My Progress Reports 4 Comments

Wow. Time has gone by really quickly. I’m now down to my last month of working, and I actually told my boss yesterday that I’m leaving. IT’S NOW 100% A REALITY! I’m going to leave my job on May 20, and leave the country on May 30.

My Thoughts

As you can tell from my older posts, this journey has already been a huge rollercoaster of emotions.

But this month is the real deal.

First of all, I’ve been freaking out about the lack of short term income I will be making – but what’s new…

Secondly, I shot a music video last weekend with some of my closest friends, and having them there supporting me just made me realize that I’m leaving some of the most amazing people in my life. I’m going to miss them. I don’t think I’ll ever find better friends. They grew up with me since elementary school/high school and they know me better than most. I am scared of losing touch while I’m away…I mean I don’t think we will lose touch, but who knows? I’m just worried about the unknown.

Two days ago I went to Blaze Pizza with my parents, and my mom told me “Let me take a good look at you, cause I won’t see you for a while.” That got me sad too.

I really will miss everyone.

But then again, if I caved into my fears, I’d regret not attempting this move for the rest of my life.

My Progress

Amazon FBA
I spent a lot of the month working on Amazon FBA (and my music). And OMG it is more work than I thought for sure. And it has dragged on WAY too long. I am planning to put in my order soon, but I didn’t realize all of the steps involved in placing the order and shipping the product. I’ll talk more about it in my Amazon FBA case study.

Etsy
I got my first review in my shop! This review actually helped my sales a lot. From this, I realized I need to increase reviews on both Etsy and Kindle books.

Kindle Books
Kindle book sales have been about similar to previous months.

Freelancing
I’m now getting a decrease in income. But I’m also trying to work out the details with my freelancing manager about the business we’re building – which is what I’m more excited about.

Unfortunately I haven’t had many updates around passive income in a long time, so I apologize if this is a boring update. Because the flight is coming soon, I’ve been slowly packing, preparing mentally/emotionally, and hanging out with friends I won’t see in a while.

It’s happening in 26 days! AHHH! Let’s do this!
