In this post I will recap on my 2020 goals!
The end of 2019 is looming…and what a year it’s been! Happy New Year, everyone. 2019 was a blast, and I predict 2020 to be a huge one. I guess everyone says that. But I’m going to be careful not to let this upcoming year slip by!
2020 is like…the future year lol. It sounded so futuristic back in the day…and it’s huge because I’m going to be entering another decade in my life by the end of the year. That’s why I need to make this year count! In this post I’m going to cover my 2020 goals so that I can keep myself in check :).
Happy New Year. Here Are My 2020 Goals!
I recently revisited my Mark Manson goals I set back in December of 2018. Looks like this is going to be a yearly tradition. I think it’s a great way for me to see my progress each year, and I encourage you all to take a look at my blog post around goal setting and try it out yourself.
Here are the main themes from my list:
MY HEALTH
This is going to be my number one priority. I have finally decided for 2020 that this is going to be my THEME/GOAL (on top of building up my brand even further). I’ll be extremely proud of myself if I’m able to continue strong habits for the entire year. This includes doing the Miracle Morning every day, hitting the gym on weekends, and drinking more water.
Courses
In 2020, I’d like to launch 3 courses I’m planning to release. Here are the following courses I’m planning to push out next year:
A blogging course to teach people how to start a blog, get traffic, and make money online (their first $1,000/month). This course seems to be on demand as many people in Facebook groups I’ve been engaged in have been interested in how to do SEO properly! It’s very important to understand how to find keywords you can rank for and write in a way where you can get actually get ranked on search. But not only that, we talk about how to set up your blog, use social media to promote your work, monetize your brand, design your blog, and more.
An out of state investing course to teach people how to make money online through real estate investing. Buy and hold rentals have been a hot topic lately as well. People want to know how to invest out of state because investing here is super expensive! My boyfriend and I are planning to get an out of state property together just to show how possible it is and to show that the course works.
A course on Amazon FBA to teach people how to build an FBA business. HOWEVER this course will be different from most that are out there, because this one will be focused on how to pursue Amazon with a smaller budget. I figured out a strategy that requires lower costs than most as most courses have you spending thousands of dollars from the get-go. With my method I’m aiming to get you to your first $1k/month so that you can get that passive income channel started (vs. trying to make a multi-million dollar business right away).
E-Commerce
Speaking of Amazon FBA, my boyfriend and I have been teaming up to build a strong FBA business, and we’re planning to expand to Etsy, eBay, Shopify, and more. We’re currently working on our custom packaging and it’s taking some time, but once we get everything going we think we can make a decent amount selling products in our niche. Fingers crossed!
Real Estate Investing
I’m also planning to invest in more property in 2020. I have a decent amount of liquid cash to spend and I want to invest it in properties around the world (a goal of mine). I will start with out of state properties first, but it will be so amazing when I’m able to expand to properties on a global scale. I’m still unsure of regulations for foreigners, but it’s something that I’m still eyeing and thinking about. The plan for tiny houses hasn’t gone well, unfortunately, but that is still something I am thinking about as well.
Continuing to Build My Brand
Get On 20 Interviews
I plan to get on a ton more podcast interviews. I’m all about guest collaborating now as I realize it does help to promote yourself. It’s also been helping me get more comfortable with public speaking and talking to people in person. I’ve been able to get onto a lot of shows in 2019, and I hope to continue that further in 2020.
Create More Posts with a Purpose
I’ve been creating more posts with the purpose of helping people in the digital nomad, passive income, and managing your finances space. This year has been better when it comes to that. I believe I can create more posts around this and also recommend valuable products and tools for people. I also want to have more tutorials teaching people step-by-step how to build their own passive income businesses.
Create Better Email Sequences
My email sequences can still be better. I only have a few funnels going currently but I must admit they’re a lot better than before. I also feel like my site is set up better where people know how to navigate it easily and stay on the site longer. The bounce rate was definitely higher before, so I’m glad I’ve improved. I hope to continue to provide better opt-ins and send better newsletters to my user base.
Conduct My First Webinar?
This is something that scared the living daylights out of me. If I’m not able to conduct my first webinar in 2020, it’s okay. But if I am – that would be crazy! I would love to do it with Sean because I’m more introverted, and it might help to partner with someone extraverted to bring me out of my shell.
Continue Creating Valuable Content
In 2019, I started my YouTube channel and podcast. It’s been a wild journey and I hope to continue making content on my blog, YouTube, and podcast. I believe creating valuable content is key to growing my brand, and I’ve seen it pay off slowly but surely. I’ve definitely grown more and more confident in myself while building up my website!
Conclusion
I hope your 2019 was as great as mine, and I hope 2020 is even better for you all. What are your 2020 goals? I’d love to hear them below. And happy new year! I’m excited to see you all kill it, and thanks for following along!
