I’ve been a marketing professional for over 7 years, but I didn’t go to school for Marketing. Though I have had work experience now, I want to give my thoughts on how to learn marketing skills with no experience or money. You can get a job without having studied it or having work experience, if you learn it yourself! Immerse yourself in the content and build your own website, and show employers what you’ve been able to accomplish.
In this video I also outline the 6 best free marketing resources of 2019.

Hey guys, it’s Sharon from digital nomad quests. And today I want to tell you guys about six of my favorite resources for learning digital marketing. So to tell you guys a bit about myself, I have been doing digital marketing for about seven years professionally, I’ve worked at various startups and even at Google. So what I found is marketing is always changing. So within a year things intolerant different algorithms can change, new platforms and new tools might need to be learned. So it’s always important to stay updated. So that’s why whether you have no experience or you already know some digital marketing, it’s still important to stay on top of it and keep studying different blogs, podcasts and YouTube channels to learn more about digital marketing. So let’s get right to it. The first one of

course I want to recommend is my own YouTube channel to if you want to learn the best entrepreneurial advice and online marketing tips, I’m going to be teaching you guys here how to build passive income driven businesses to achieve financial freedom. Make sure to subscribe to the channel, click the bell button to be notified for my latest videos. Number two, one of my favorite resources is the podcast ask Pat. So I recommend this for people who are looking to do some bootstrap marketing meaning if you’re trying to build a website, build a product and you’re doing it from ground up. This is a great place to learn marketing techniques that are low cost that can really start driving you traffic and sales. So ask Pat is basically this podcast where people ask Pat Flynn questions and he does some free kind of business consultations and Pat Flynn basically answers their question with a comprehensive episode about whatever topic that they’re asking about. I personally like the short form podcast episodes so I

I like to listen to this one because a lot of his episodes are only 10 minutes. So in the past, he’s to receive one question at a time for these podcast episodes. Now. It’s like he’s doing a coaching call within each podcast episode. So it has a whole span of content. He’s already at over 1000 episodes now. So it’s a very useful podcast. I’m sure if you listen through it all the way through, you’re going to learn a lot. Number two is the marketing school podcast with Eric Sue and Neil Patel. I am not really a podcast person, but sometimes on my commute. I listened to this podcast because it’s again, short form episodes, most of them are under 10 minutes long because they just quickly and concisely address whatever question is covered in that episode, so it’s just super clear, super easy, you get straight to the point for whatever answer you need. I recommend this for more advanced marketing strategies, overall online marketing strategies, so if you know a bit about marketing, this is the place to go to get better at marketing. Until now.

The most updated news and things like that in marketing. Okay, number three, I recommend the YouTube channel by Sonny Leonard Uzi. Hopefully I said her name correctly so she is a great person to go to when it comes to social media and YouTube tricks. So if you want to get better at more organic social media marketing, content marketing, this is the place for you. She goes through different Instagram tips how to rank better on YouTube and things like that. Number four, I want to recommend Jon loomer.com for Facebook ads strategy. This is a lot more advanced when it comes to Facebook ads. So if you want expert knowledge on how to get extremely good at Facebook ads Jon Loomer calm is the place to go. And lastly, number six is recommendation by my friend Jason work at frugal for less and he really recommends backlink go.com for SEO tips. As a bonus I also want to recommend LinkedIn learning for overall marketing education. So LinkedIn learning is now
4:00
Free, it actually costs about 2999 monthly. If you get the annual plan, it’s 2499 monthly. So you can start off with a one month free trial and see how it goes. And if you like it, you can subscribe. I personally subscribe to LinkedIn learning because it’s pretty cheap. And it gives you a lot of educational material really professionally done by experts around the world. So if you look it up, you’ll see that the quality of these videos is really high. So they have over 13,000 expert led courses. And you can search everything from paid ads to social media, to SEO to email marketing and so much more. So it covers a wide range of topics, which is why I recommended as well. Sometimes when it comes to looking at resources, it can be better to invest in these courses to get better at whatever you want to get better at because a lot of times free materials not going to be as good as these paid resources. So I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. Please make sure that
