Having your real estate license could be helpful for those looking to make income as a part-time agent, real estate investing, or other real estate purposes. For example, having your real estate license could be a great way to cut fees if you wanted to do buy and hold properties as a passive income. In order to qualify to take the exam, you must first take and pass three courses.

PrepAgent is an online real estate exam prep service. It offers three different packages with prices ranging from $49-$89. The basic package features studying tools such as national and state specific questions, eBooks and quizzes, while the other two packages offer tools such as audio lessons, interactive flashcards, webinars, and much more.

Start studying for the exam at least a month prior to taking it. Within week one of preparing for your exam, you will begin to learn and comprehend the material.

Quizzes are key when it comes to passing your exam. The exam can be difficult, but as long as you make sure to study the right equipment you can be confident in passing. PrepAgent’s quizzes will feature questions that you will see on your exam. Even if you see questions you are not familiar with, you can still be confident when taking the exam that you can pass.

Gain access to and use your study tools. Start reading the eBook, maybe even print it out so you can physically highlight key things and take notes. PrepAgent’s YouTube videos and podcasts are good tools to you while you are learning the material.

Note that if you are in California, there will be no math questions. Make sure to check within the guidelines of your state to learn about its requirements/expectations.

Between weeks two and for you will be taking a bunch of quizzes.

Practice and practice the quizzes until you can get at least an 80% repeatedly. Many of the questions you see on the quizzes will be on the exam itself.

Don’t just memorize the answers. Yes, you want to make sure you have the correct answers. However, it is important to understand why an answer is right. Take notes of answers you got incorrect, and why.

Note that you will need at least a 70% to pass the exam.

When you are confident you are ready and are constantly passing the quizzes, take the exam.

Use the entire timeframe provided to take your exam. Take your time to go through each question.

Mark questions you are sure about. You can come back to them later, maybe after some time you will have remembered the answer.

If you initially fail the tests, you can always take it over and over. The exam can be difficult. This is why it’s important to study the right materials.

This is the digital nomad quest podcast with Sharon Tseung. teaching people how to build passive income, become financially free and design their best lives.

Hey guys, it’s Sharon from digital nomad quest, and today I’m going to give you guys my tips on how to pass your real estate agent license exam. So my previous video I talked about why I took the exam, there are actually many ways you can take advantage of a real estate license, and it can help you in your real estate investing purposes or if you want to be a part time agent. So for example, if you want to do buy and hold properties for passive income, having your license could be a great way to reduce fees. But first of all, if you guys are into passive income entrepreneurship digital nomad life, make sure you subscribe to my channel, Sharon Tseung. And I will give you guys all that type of content. But anyway, let’s get started with today’s video. So what I did for my real estate license exam was I actually just studied prep agent. I’d taken my courses a long time ago in 2012. You need a Pass three courses in order to qualify and then take that exam. But it had been so long, I didn’t know what materials to study. And then I went to read it and I checked and it seemed like everyone was recommending prep agent looked into what it was I checked the YouTube channel. And I started listening to some of the videos. And then I decided to purchase the basic package or something like that on the website. And the package included some audio stuff, ebook, as well as a bunch of quizzes. And also, I do have a code for prep agent. If you want 20% off, make sure to check my description below and you can get my promo code Sharon, to be able to get that 20% off. Now the quizzes are key in order to pass your license exam and when you get into it, the exam can be kind of difficult, but it really matters what you study because there’s tons of material you can study out there. But if you’re not studying the right things, and certain things appear on the testing, you have no idea because you never studied it, that’s gonna be a problem. So the good thing about prep agent is a lot of the quizzes are actually on my own. exam so I was like, okay, cool, cool. That’s their that’s their I have to say, though that there were questions that I did not have any idea about. But I managed to pass with just studying the prep agent materials, but just be warned that like the quizzes don’t cover everything, I took maybe 20 quizzes of 100 questions each or something like that, that allowed me to pass the license exam. So when you’re prepping for exam, I recommend starting like a month early, okay, start taking the quizzes, start reading the E book, I printed it out like this, okay, I printed it out, I started highlighting and you can see here there’s a bunch of notes here. And that’s going to help you a lot from the basic part. So I would say like week one, you start with the E book, you start listening to the YouTube videos and the podcast audio and then you’re going to be able to understand the concept. Some of the things you might need to know are like the bundle of rights, real versus personal property types of leases and guarantee that types of listings are probably going to be on the test. Another thing is on my own test, appraisals and appraisers. For some reason were apparent On my test, but things change a lot, so it might not be on yours. Another thing to know is if you’re in California, there’s not going to be any math questions, actually, which is amazing. So make sure you check within your state to see if the exam covers that and or not. Now, I would say week two to Week Four, right, you should basically start taking a bunch of quizzes. So the quizzes, a lot of those questions are going to be on the exam. So you want to study that all the time, until you can reach at least like an 80% you need a 70% to pass. Okay, so being able to start repeatedly getting at least 80% is a really good sign. So when you’re taking these quizzes though, yes, memorize the answers, but also check what the reasoning for the answer this so start taking notes of the ones that you got wrong and understand why you got them wrong. After you studied all these materials, you’ve taken the quizzes a bunch of times, make sure you get at least 80% on each quiz, then you’re ready to take the test and I recommend using the entire timeframe to take your test make sure that you go through each question I would say for just general test tape Getting tips is you kind of mark the ones that you’re not totally sure about on the on your little whiteboard. So they give you like this whiteboard and you do the quiz like electronically within their system, at least in California was like that. So you actually didn’t need to bring a pen or pencil or anything, you, you do it all electronically, they give you a white little whiteboard for you to take notes if you need to take notes. So what I did was I marked each question that wasn’t completely sure about and I made sure to go through those and double check. Maybe I finally remember something and then I’m able to answer that question again. That’s just my general test taking tips. Use up the time, make sure to double check the questions that you’re not completely sure about. And lastly, if you do fail, it’s okay. You’re going to be able to take the test again and again and it can be a difficult test. You just need to make sure you study the right materials, which is why I recommend prep agent. I didn’t study anything else. And it allowed me to pass I was pretty nervous. I ended up rescheduling my test because I didn’t feel prepared. I wasn’t getting this 80% right. But once I started getting those 80% I was ready for that scheduled date. So make sure you allow enough time for your study materials. Make sure you use prep agent start taking the quizzes a lot, do at least a month out before the exam and start like studying the books, the podcast, the YouTube videos and the quizzes, and you should be okay. So I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. Please make sure to rate review and subscribe. It really helps our podcast grow. And thanks again. I’ll see you guys in the next one.
